Yangji Pine is a golf course that is alongside a ski resort so there are resort facilities, ski lifts, etc. in the vicinity.
The course itself is ok. Most of the fairways are narrow but open up a bit. Many of the holes start with a hazard near the tee so it can be difficult for beginners. The sides of the fairway tend to be rough or just fall off so it’s not like some courses in Korea where there’s a slope and you may just get lucky and have your ball roll back down onto the side of the fairway.
We played the first 9 at the south course. South course is a little different from other golf courses in that it has 3 of each par 3, par 4, and par 5.
There is not a separate snack house area between the front and back 9 so you just go back to the main clubhouse. The start area where you get into your cart is accessible through the locker room.
Overall, it’s not a bad course but it’s also not a great course. It seems to be a place where grabbing a tee time isn’t too difficult so if you are out of options, it’s ok but there are other much better courses for the money in Korea.
But food is important and there is an excellent duck restaurant around the corner from the golf course. It’s called “Myeongjin Nong Won” (명진농원) and they have an awesome marinated spicy duck! The meal was the best part of the day.
