Fortune Hills is a nice course that is located north of Seoul in the city of Pocheon. This area is close to the border with North Korea.
Traffic to/from Seoul is pretty good so the golf courses in this area tend to be very popular with Fortune Hills and Bear Creek being the most popular of the golf courses in this area.
We played the garden course followed by the palace course. The garden course was very narrow and difficult. Palace was also difficult but had wider fairways and most scenic ponds and such. Their signature hole featured a pond with rock formations reminiscent of Hai Long bay in Vietnam.
This was my first outing for 2022 and it was cold. It was below 0 celsius at tee off and was chilly overall. I eventually took off my jacket though as it got warmer in the afternoon.
After the first nine, we moved straight into the back nine with no break other than a quick bathroom break and coffee refill. The start house is closed for renovation.
