This was my first time playing with Charley and Wonjoon. They were both a lot of fun. Charley is a pretty good golfer as well so it was nice.
I had a terrible day with driver though. My golf coach has been having me focus on widening my swing arc so I’m pretty much always pushing out with my arms and keeping my elbows straight for as long as possible and minimizing bend. It feels really weird but I was hitting the ball well on Monday at my golf lesson so I decided to try using it out on the course.
It didn’t work. I was topping, sky balls, etc…it was really bad. I just couldn’t hit driver. The rest of my clubs were pretty good but driver was just bad. It was so bad that after about 12 holes, I stopped hitting driver and hit my hybrid off the tee and that went straight. Of course I lost a lot of distance though but I was still playing pretty well so was still mostly playing bogey golf.
I have played Creek Course many times but this was my first time playing Bear. Bear is nice too. Creek is much further so a good 15+ minutes in the cart to get out there.
Since we had a late tee time, the last 2 holes were played under lights. I don’t think I’ve ever played night golf before and it was ok but a little tough to find your ball. At least I hit it straight so I was able to find my ball ok but if you hit it off to the side or in the rough it would have been impossible to find your ball in the dark.
