This was another nice round at Sung Moon An. It has been very hot in recent days so we decided to reserve a limousine cart so that we can be more comfortable during the round since usually in Korea, the standard 5 person cart can get a bit cramped in the back with 3 people.
You pay 2x the price of a cart though and cart fees are pretty overpriced anyway at golf courses but oh well, it did make the round much more comfortable though since we had cooling seats, chargers, cooling drink holders, etc.
Sung Moon An is not an easy course but it is pretty high end and the course has some nice holes including an island green.
Since it is western grass you need to hit down on the ball a lot more with your irons. It took me about 9 holes to get back into the swing of this where you hit down and take a divot, etc. I guess I got used to Korean grass where you don’t really take a divot and tend to brush up against the grass since the ball is usually hitting on top of the grass as opposed to sitting on top of the ground.
I didn’t play bad but also wasn’t that great either. Putting is still not good for me. I did experiment with my recently updated driver swing and it actually worked really well on the last 3 holes.
After our round we had lunch at Fioretto, the Italian restaurant on site. It is a pretty good Italian restaurant and a nice post-round meal. They take a break from 14:30-17:00 and the last order is at 13:40 so we got there just in time to order and get some food before their break because we ended our round at around 13:10.
