Play Golf in Korea

11/8/2025 – South Springs

Tee Time: 11:00

Players: Kevin, Jisun

This was another fun day at the annual Dell Technologies Classic! This was the 23rd golf tournament and it was a blast!

This year was at the same location as last year. The organizers also put me on team #1 again so I was in the same group as Kevin, the CEO of Dell Technologies Korea. It can be a little stressful being in this group because there is a lot of attention on this group. We set the stage for the tournament to kick off (shotgun start) so the 4 of us hit our ceremonial drives with these colored golf balls that explode, etc. The announcers are also at hole 1 with the camera crew.

I played well. I have been working on stretching my left arm in the backswing and also stretching out much more on the downswing as well and it really worked well! I was hitting some great drives.

Another benefit of this group is that we play with the golf pro for 18 holes (other teams only get the pro for 9 holes). Our pro was Jisun Chun who is a famous SBS Golf pro who is regularly on TV so it was nice seeing her and playing a round with her. She is a great instructor as well and gave me some valuable tips.

There was also a one point lesson with a famous golf coach named Kyungmin Ko so it was nice spending a few minutes with her as well. She also said hi when I met her again at the “beat the pro” par 3.

Her main swing tip for me was to turn my lower body and shift much more to the left on the downswing. It is something that I have been working on these days.

She also changed my putting stroke as well. I had a stroke where I minimized the backswing and accelerated when hitting the ball but she wanted me to be much more steady and consistent. It didn’t help much during the day (I was hitting too hard mostly) but it helped the following day so I’ll stick with it for awhile.

There was the longest drive hole and at that hole I really crushed it…hit my drive around 250 yards right in the middle of the fairway! The person recording all of the drives took down my information but nah, I didn’t win.

There was another hole where you win a prize if you land your drive in this circle in the fariway and I landed it!

After golf, we had some musical entertainment by a Korean singer named “Wax” and that was fun as well.

Overall, a wonderful day at the course and an event that I am always excited to join!
