This was my first time playing here and it was a great experience. East Valley is one of the top country clubs in the country and one of the most expensive. I played with our previous CEO who is a member here.
The greens were tough…the toughest I every played. They were so fast. I was almost always coming up way short or way long. I was 3 putting a lot but was also 4 and 5 putting so my score was terrible.
But my driver was on fire! I was really hitting them long and straight. This was probably my best day on the course with driver. I wasn’t necessarily hitting bombs but even when I wasn’t hitting well, the ball was in play. I topped one driver shot so too a mulligan and proceeded to hit fairway. We all agreed to get 1 mulligan on the front 9 and 1 on the back 9. I didn’t use the one on the front 9 because I didn’t need it!
Food in the restaurant is also pretty solid. Service is excellent (especially to members). Our caddie was excellent and was happy to give pointers, etc. if you wanted them.
Hopefully I’ll play some future rounds here with our previous CEO. We have a good relationship so that’s good…
