This was my first time playing with the Byuns, who were our neighbors just across the hallway from our house. Our front door is literally one step away from their front door so we saw them come in/out for the past 7 years. They moved away last month so we decided to play golf together.
They are an older couple with a lot of golf experience and it shows. They hit it straight and consistently.
They have membership at Castlex since it’s so close to our neighborhood. It’s only a 25 min drive which is pretty crazy for golf in Korea.
I actually dislike this course and generally will refuse rounds here but I couldn’t refuse this one. I have never played well here but actually played ok this time. In fact, I actually played pretty well…driver was good! But nah, I still don’t want to play at this course. It’s narrow, not very pretty, you hit off mats sometimes, etc.
