This was a fun round with some co-workers. We were scheduled to play Ocean and Lake courses but the marshall asked if we were willing to switch over to verthill + sky because there were some slow teams causing a backlog on ocean. We agreed.
Verthill is the signature course but has some undulation and is pretty long. Sky was shorter. Next time I think I’ll try to stick with playing ocean just to try it out.
Vert Hill is a new golf course that opened last year. The clubhouse is brand new and the course is in good condition. The tee boxes and greens are western grass but the fairways and rough are Korean grass.
The clubhouse has a pretty escalator that dominates the building. You need to go upstairs to go to the locker room and restaurant. The start house restaurant is downstairs on the main level.
I played well overall but putting was pretty bad with many 3 putts and even some 4 putts so scoring wasn’t so good.
The area of the golf course is pretty barren with nothing except for the golf course. There are no restaurants, etc. so you need to drive into incheon or cheongna to get some good food. We ended up having lunch after our round at the restaurant and the food was ok. I had the jjambbong and it was pretty good actually.
