This was a 16 person tournament with some other dads from my kids school. I have played golf with roughly half of them in the past so I knew them fairly well. They are a fun group of guys so I hope to continue playing many rounds with them.
My team played pretty well. Danny is solid and he ended up winning the lowest score of the tournament with a 78 (6 over!). Jin was a little more wild and lost more balls but he had distance so he won the longest drive. I won the award for most pars. Wayne also won an award so our team played well!
I didn’t actually play all that well though because my driver was wild. I was either pushing, slicing, or hooking. Wow, it was frustrating. But I did par a lot of holes so that was nice. My putting was pretty good. In fact, my putting has been pretty good in recent rounds.
I usually play the signature courses (Signature A and B) and I like those courses much more. I don’t think I’ll be back to play Sunrise and Nest in the future.
After the round we had dinner nearby. This is an annual tournament. I was unable to play last year since I was in the US in June and was only able to play this year since we moved our US trip to July.
Weather was warm and sunny so my legs got tanned. Oh well.
