7/11/2026 – Torrey Pines (North)

Tee Time: 11:42

Players: Ben, Jake, Jy

This was our annual Torrey Pines round. This is always such a fun round. The golf course is always nice and I like playing North because of the views on the back 9. I usually don’t lose many (if any) balls here so that’s always nice too. Today I lost a ball on hole 2 (massive hook) but that was it so it was nice.

Rounds can be a bit slow though as the course can get backed up. We played a 5 hour round so it definitely wasn’t fast. At the end of the day, as nice as Torrey is, it’s still a public muni course!

The clubhouse checkin process was also backed up and slow. There was a woman who checked in and unfortunately they checked in too late so their tee time was given up to another group that was waiting around. They seemed to get the women back on but an hour or two later though.

My score doesn’t always reflect my skills but looking back over the past 6 years or so of playing Torrey every year, I definitely play better golf year by year so that’s good.
