Play Golf in Korea

7/27/2026 – Willows Run (Redmond, WA)

Tee Time: 7:15am

Players: Song, Ki, Tom

This was a treat because I hadn’t had a chance to play a round with Song in many years. We played a few years back when I was in LA on vacation and he flew down to hang out with me. We were supposed to play some more rounds a few years ago when we were in Seattle but it was just after covid and he actually got covid so he couldn’t leave the house!

It was also a treat to play with Ki, a friend that I made about 6 years ago in Korea but he had since moved back to the US. He lives in Texas but he just so happened to be in Seattle to go to a wedding. He was flying out in the afternoon so he was fitting in a round of golf before his flight!

I didn’t bring my golf clubs to Seattle so I just borrowed some extra clubs from Song. They weren’t really my style but I played ok with them I guess and it was still a really fun round.

We played quickly and pace was good so we finished in about 4 hours! We finished with plenty of time for Ki and Tom to head back to their hotels to get their wives and go to the airport to make their flights. In fact, we were probably a little early so Ki toyed with having lunch afterwards but nah, probably safer not to do that!

Willows Run is a course near where I lived in WA so I used to drive by the course all the time. I didn’t play golf back then so I had no idea what I was missing. The course was much better than expected. The greens were really fast though even though it had just rained the night before.
