9/6/2026 – Pocheon Hillmaru (Breeze + Sunrise)

Tee Time: 8:08

Players: Young, Charles, Scott

This was another fun round with some co-workers. I like the 2 signature courses here more than breeze and sunrise but these courses were ok.

I like this golf course because it has a nice clubhouse and the course is always well maintained. But the only thing I do not like about this course is that they have a lot of male caddies. It seems like most of my rounds here are with male caddies. I prefer female caddies but I suppose the male caddies aren’t bad though.

I played ok but my driver was kind of all over the place. It was staying in bounds most of the time though so I guess I don’t have any complaints. I was hooking and pulling a lot though so that was a little annoying. I think because of all of those years of suffering through a slice, I have conditioned myself to close my club face at address, etc. Now that my swing is better and I don’t come over the top as much as before, I end up just pulling a lot of my shots.

There were 2 holes at Breeze where the white tees were pushed up so much that it was absurd. The white tees were basically at the red tees and these par 4 holes were only like 280 yards or so in distance. I am not a long hitter but even after my drive I was using my wedge to chip it onto the green, etc. An average distance hitter would hit the green, etc. On the second hole like that I just used my hybrid instead of driver.

I will probably continue to play this course often though because they are nice and clean, affordable, and they allow 3 person teams.
