My friend Brian was in town from the US so we had to get a round of golf into the schedule. He actually flew in 2 days ago and then actually went hiking yesterday up to the summit of soraksan (crazy!). So yesterday after a 12 hour hike, he came back to Seoul late last night and then we met up at 5:45am to drive over to Gapyeong Benest. His knees were shot from the hike but after a few holes, tbh I didn’t notice so he looks to be in good shape.
My driver was on fire. Probably the best driver day I have ever had. Every drive was just going straight and I was just hitting fairways. It was nice. Too bad the rest of my game wasn’t so good so I was 3 putting a lot, etc. Oh well, that’s how golf is…
I haven’t played golf with Robert in awhile so it was nice to see him again.
Overall, we had a blast out on the course and had a nice Korean meal afterwards with a lot of soju flowing (I was driving so didn’t partake).
Anyway, Gapyeong Benest is my favorite course in Korea that I play regularly. I generally play here about 1-2x/month but in recent months I am probably playing here almost every week.
