Lakeside is one of the Korean courses owned by the Samsung group. It consists of multiple courses but the only public course is the Orange course.
Overall, it’s a nice course and is relatively close to Seoul so it’s very popular and tough to get a tee time. It is a private club so there is priority given to members but they have excess inventory available to the public. Most weekends are going to be booked though but you might get lucky. They also have a feature where you can get on a waiting list in case someone cancels but I have never had luck with that.
This was my first outing of 2021 so I was excited to get back out there on the golf course. It was a fun day but it was chilly out. There was snow in most of the shaded areas so if you hit your ball there, you just take your ball and toss it over to the middle of the fairway where there is no snow. The bunkers were all frozen as well so any bunker balls were just tossed out as well. The greens were frozen so needless to say, they were pretty fast. If you hit your second shot onto the green, it will likely bounce 10 feet into the air, etc.
We had to use colored balls because of the snow. Matte red is actually my favorite for these conditions.
