Pinx is a country club and golf course located in Jeju Island in Korea. It is owned by SK and is one of the best courses in Korea and second only to Nine Bridges in the island.
We flew down to jeju from Seoul early in the morning. We were all on different flights and with some good luck none of us were delayed. We headed straight to the rental car office to pick up the car and went to the golf course.
We were about 2.5 hours early though (it’s hard to time these things perfectly when there are flights involved) so we went to the clubhouse, had lunch and then still had an hour or so to kill before our tee time. So we went over to the practice range and hit some balls. It was actually nice to get some warm up and practice time in before the round.
The course itself is great. The fairways are really soft though and with some recent rain, it was a little muddy in some areas. Also, because the fairways are so soft, sometimes a drive would embed your ball into the fairway so it made finding your ball difficult at times. Grass is western grass so also not easy to play.
In any case, it was a great round and lots of fun. I played well and my driver was good.
