This was my second golf outing at Cascadia. Last time I played Stone + Water so this was my first time playing the Tree course. FWIW, the tree course also has a lot of rocks…lol.
Cascadia has probably the most impressive clubhouse for any golf course (public or private) in Korea. But the course itself is a bit…meh. The fairways are too narrow, many of the greens are elevated, etc. At least the sides of the fairways tend to be angled so that they are somewhat forgiving…you may hit a ball out to the hill only to have it roll down to the rough or you might get lucky and hit a tree or boulder and your ball bounces back in.
Water course is probably the best in terms of scenery. The signature waterfall hole is pretty nice.
The last hole (hole 9) of the water course is actually the only one with a decently wide fairway. I guess it was a nice way to end the round.
Caddies seem to be on the younger side but they are inexperienced for the most part so not that good at helping with putts, etc.
I played well overall and started out well despite the narrow and unforgiving fairways. My miss was slightly right this time for some reason. But my driver wasn’t slicing so that was nice.
Regular price green fees are a whopping 510k krw but pricing is on a special right now at 400k for registered members. 350k for members who have put down a deposit (which is needed to make reservations). Cart fee was 200k and caddie fee was 160k.
