4/28/2024 – Gapyeong Benest (Maple + Pine)

Tee Time: 7:56

Players: Youngjune, Kate, Maria

This was another great round at Gapyeong Benest. Gapyeong has 3 courses – Maple, Pine, and Birch. My friend Youngjune is a member and he seems to dislike Birch. He also dislikes the last few holes of Pine but I thought they were kind of fun actually. They are tough because there isn’t much room around the greens so you can easily lose your ball but you’re high up in the mountains with a great view so it’s nice.

I was playing ok actually…driver was cooperating. But irons were a little off early on and I was barely missing putts, etc….lots of pars were bogeys and lots of bogeys were double bogeys…I guess that’s what happens sometimes. I did par the first 2 holes in the second half which was a nice start though. I was putting for birdie a few times as well but missed.

In any case, this is the best time of year for golf in Korea (along with September). It got a little warm later in the morning but it was still nice because there was a breeze, etc.
