This was a fun round even though it was a hot day. The front 9 was ok in terms of weather. It was mostly cloudy and there was even a slight breeze at times. The back 9 was pretty brutal though as the sun came out and it was still really humid. The last 4 holes or so were really hot.
I played well overall especially on the front 9. Driver was doing well and everything else was good…hybrid, irons, chipping/pitching, and even putting. The only problem was that my putts were coming up way short. I did manage to do better on some holes when I really took a conscious effort to add a little more muscle to the putts but when I forgot to do that I reverted back and left them way short. Accuracy was good though but these short putts resulted in a lot of 3 putts.
I wasn’t necessarily getting onto the green in regulation but would be close enough so that with a good short game I can bogey many holes. But with my putts coming up short resulting in 3 putts there were a lot of bogeys that became disappointing double bogeys. I did nail one long putt though so that was great!
This golf course is still one of the toughest reservations to get in Korea for a public course but because of the hot weather there are many tee times available in the afternoon. Morning tee times are still very tough to get.
The pro shop is small but nice with high end merchandise. Since the golf course is owned by Kolon, there is a lot of WAAC merchandise as well as G/Fore (I guess Kolon is the distributor of G/Fore in Korea). They also have a small selection of La vie est belle branded stuff like bucket hats and things like that.
La vie est belle branded golf tees are free in the cart as are branded ball markers.
