Tee Time: 8:00am
Players: Jy + 2
The golf course was a bit congested with players so we were grouped with 2 random Korean tourists. They were young and as typical for Korean golfers, were dressed in very high end golf clothing.
I started out really well…driver was going straight. I got a real par on hole 1! I was on a good roll for the first 4 holes or so and then I started slicing a bit again, etc. Then I was a bit inconsistent after that…oh well, I guess maybe that’s golf. I probably got a little lazy so forgot a few things and then tried to overcompensate, etc.
At the turn, the 2 Koreans wanted to take a 15 minute break so our caddies said that we can also take a break or we can choose to just play on and play the back half separately. So we chose to just play on.
However, because of the congestion there was a long wait on hole 10 anyway. By the time we tee’d off, the Korean couple was done with their break so they just let us finish hole 10 and joined us at hole 11. After hole 18, we went home and the other couple went back to play hole 10.
The golf course is along the coast so there are a few holes in the back 9 that have great ocean views. Really nice holes over there that reminded me of golf courses like South Cape, Pebble Beach, etc. with those ocean views.
There are 3 full golf courses in Bali but the 3rd course is on the northern edge of the island so it’s way too far. This course was about 35 minutes from Nusa Dua on small bumpy roads so travel was a bit of a pain. There is a 4th course but it’s par 3 so I didn’t consider it.
