Played golf with a co-worker. It was a fun round but I never seem to play well when I play with this guy. The first 2 times I played with him I was absolutely terrible. Last time was one of the worst rounds of my life. I’m happy to report that I played much better this time and more along the lines of how I usually play.
My woods, hybrid, and irons were great like yesterday. This new stretch swing seems to work well on these. With driver it was a bit hit and miss. I sliced a few early on so I went back to my old driver swing. On the second half I told myself that I would use the new stretch and big arc swing until I hit one OB and it actually lasted from hole 10 until hole 16 so that was pretty good. After slicing one on hole 16, I went back to my old driver swing for the last 3 holes and wouldn’t you know it…I striped them all right down the middle!
I ended up the big winner of the day in terms of score so I played ok. Hole 18 was especially good…par 5 where I striped driver down the middle of the fairway, hit 3 wood down the middle, and then hit a short iron to get onto the green…2 putt for par. Simple.
