Tee Time: 13:03
Players: Eric, Mahn, Gary
In the late fall, I try to get tee times in the afternoon sometimes as the weather is just much nicer. It can be a bit chilly in Korea in the mornings so 7am tee times, etc. are usually not my favorite at this time of year.
With early morning tee times, there is rarely traffic going to the golf course in the morning but there is traffic coming back after our round. But with a later tee time, traffic going to the golf course can be a bit congested but there is usually no traffic at night driving back. I think I prefer the afternoon tee time because I’m usually not too tired driving too the golf course but I am generally tired on the drive back.
Creek course is a good 15 minute cart ride from the main clubhouse so you need to get there early (at least an hour early to get a meal before your round, etc.). I like creek though more than bear course but both are very nice for a public course in Korea.
I played really well. My driver was straighter than it has ever been and I really hammered a few drives out there. I was striping them down the middle so overall it was a great day out there. Of course this means that some of my other clubs like my woods and irons and putting wasn’t always the best though but a good driver day is a good day out on the course for me!
In fact, one of the guys was a guy I played with last week and he was like “uh, your driver wasn’t like this last week….”
Pace of play was really slow. The group in front of us was slow so we were waiting quite a bit. We also had a good 25 minutes at the turn. We ended up with a 6 hour round…painful but oh well.
We ended up playing under lights for the last few holes. It wasn’t too bad since I had just played night golf a few nights ago. But my other playing partners weren’t used to it so it took them a hole or so to get used to it (they were hitting fat, etc.).
My ankle is much better…probably about 80%. Since bothers me but can walk around ok.
We had dinner afterwards at my favorite beef place in the around. It’s about a 15 min drive but it’s good.
