Play Golf in Korea

3/7/2026 – Country Club of the Pacific

Tee Time: 8:50am

Players: Jy

So this was kind of an annoying round. It rained all night long so we knew that the conditions weren’t going to be great. It was still raining on and off all morning but had stopped for the most part when we arrived.

At check-in, I asked what their policy was on cancellations, refunds, and rain checks but I didn’t really get an answer other than “it’s not raining now so doesn’t apply”…she asked if we were still going to play and I said yes. I wasn’t about to just waste the money that we paid for our round.

We had a 3-some in front of us and they were fine. It rained on and off but it wasn’t too bad and the delays weren’t too bad at first…until hole 12, we were ok. It was a little slow so we were probably about 3 hours in at hole 12 when it rained harder.

So we had to stop but the rain wouldn’t really let up. We struggled through holes 12 and 13 in rain whenever there was a slight lull. Sono Felice courses also had 2 umbrellas in each cart but nothing here. I brought my umbrella though so we used that but it was torrential rain…the kind that sweeps from the sides, etc. so umbrellas probably weren’t all that useful anyway.

In any case, after hole 13 I called in to see if we can get a rain check to play the rest of the holes later and the woman said no…once you tee off, no refunds or rain checks after that. Of course I tried at the start of the day not to tee off but they wouldn’t let us…

We struggled through holes 14-16 and this took like another 2 hours because we were waiting for the rain to stop.

For holes 17 and 18, it was simply unplayable. The greens were flooded. The holes were full of water. We just hit a drive and then picked up our ball and moved on.

Interestingly enough, there was a sign in Korean when we checked in saying that it was cart path only so no driving onto the fairways but the cart guy said that we could drive onto the fairways. The team in front of us were driving on the fairways so we did too. Seems like it’s actually not the best idea when the fairways are so wet but oh well.

Staff was unfriendly. Course was pretty though with some ocean views. They need a better rain check, partial refund type policy though.
