Wow, this was such a weird round. I played really well…in fact I think I played the best round of my life. Sure, I wasn’t perfect and I chunked one, hooked a few, sliced one drive out, etc. but overall, I was pretty solid. My ball contact was good and driver was pretty consistent. I was getting on the green in regulation pretty often. My putter wasn’t so good though. Greens were really slow so I was either coming up really short or hitting way too hard. I never really got into much of a groove with my putter.
But also weird was that one of our playing partners were acting up against the caddie for some reason. IMO, the caddie was fine. She seemed nice and was personable but one of our friends really didn’t like the caddie and made it obvious. It made the round really uncomfortable. It also may have had something to do with our friend just playing really poorly so she was frustrated. In any case, it made the entire vibe really uncomfortable.
I played a solid round though overall but I’m still not quite comfortable with my swing. I’m still swinging much like I learned in Thailand which seems to be pretty good.
