The Crosby is a relatively new golf course located in the Icheon area. Since it’s pretty nice, the clubhouse, locker room, restaurant, grounds, etc. are pretty much immaculate! It’s a great place to play golf and I’ll definitely be back!
The holes are nice and the only downside is that they seem packed together fairly tight. If you miss a fairway, sometimes your ball will simply go OB and will be lost but many times you’ll end up hitting into another fairway of an adjacent hole (fore!!!).
The scenery is great with many pretty views from the mountains.
The area has a lot of farmland so there was a pretty bad smell in the morning…like fertilizer, manure, etc. It was pretty gross. But it went away after an hour or so so maybe it’s just early morning? I don’t know…
My game personally was pretty good overall. I started strong with playing par and bogey golf and having no double bogeys in the first 4 holes but then I went a bit downhill from there. My driver stopped cooperating after the first 4 holes so it got tougher. I was hooking some, slicing some, etc. I did hit a nice laser straight on hole 18 though…
My woods, hybrids, and irons were pretty good. Short game was ok too so that stuff saved me. My putting was terrible though.
I’ll definitely be back to The Crosby and I’ll put this course as one of my favorites in Korea. It looks like for some of the summer months, they offer a short 9 hole play in the afternoons on weekends for less than 50% of the green fees (as well as self caddie, etc.) so that might be a nice way to check out the course at an affordable price.
