Pine Creek is a pretty nice public course located in Ansung, Korea. It’s not too far from Seoul though since it’s on the western part of Ansung.
We played the creek course followed by the pine course.
Most of the holes were nice and scenic. The fairways and greens were well maintained. There are a few really low slope holes as well as a few high ones.
As the name implies, creek has some creeks and water hazards. Most holes have wide fairways but if you hit out of the fairway, most holes are OB or a hazard so you’ll lose your ball. Pine was also a lot of fun.
I actually played probably my best round of golf ever. My driver was a bit hit and miss but my woods, hybrids, and irons were great. My wedges were ok (for me). My putting was terrible though. I probably lost around 10 strokes on putting and short game but oh well, that’s golf. I finally broke 100!
Overall, I think pine creek is a nice course for beginners because of the wide fairways. The club house, locker rooms, etc. are all top notch like most of Korea’s golf courses.
