Course: North + West
Tee Time: 11:34
Players: Jae, Youngjune, Sukhwan
As a member of Ansung Benest, I have played south + east many times but this was my first time playing north + west. North/West seems to be more popular and it’s tougher to book tee times on this course but I’ve been successful because when I make my reservations, I’ve been noting that I would like to book north/west.
The north/west course is a bit longer than south/east but I think it also has wider fairways. I don’t seem to hit as many balls out of bounds so that’s always good.
The greens are pretty tough though. Putting was difficult and many of the greens have multiple levels so you need to make sure you putt hard enough to get up a small area because if you don’t, the ball will just roll back. But putt too hard and your ball will go past the green, etc.
Their signature hole is a nice par 3 with a man made waterfall near the green. It’s a lot of fun putting while listening to the water falling down through the rocks. One of my friends asked the caddie if it’s natural and she said that it’s man made. Maybe there’s a pump and electricity somewhere?
The course overall is probably of medium difficulty. The fairways and such aren’t too bad and the OB and hazards aren’t too bad either.
Since the course is long, the red tees do get a nice advantage on a few holes where it seems like they are a good 100 yards in front of the white tees.
