I got a kakao message from Youngjune a few days ago asking if I’m available on Sunday for golf. Turns out that their 4th got covid so they needed a 4th. This was my first round with Youngjune this year because we were scheduled to play last month but I got covid and had to cancel on him.
I also know Gu as well but hadn’t seen him in a few years so it was nice to catch up.
Wow, I had pretty much the best golf outing of my life (thus far)! My driver was going nice and straight for the most part! I think with golf you want to have some confidence without getting cocky (you go too far and the golf gods have a way to humble you right back to earth). My favorite was my straight drive on hole 6 of West (signature hole). Awesome!
My putter was crappy though. But my driver, hybrid (4), and irons were all pretty solid.
This is my home course so I know the holes pretty well and know how to attack them, etc. There is one hole where for some reason I always hit way left so mental note to aim more right on that hole next time.
It was a nice day but got really hot and sunny in the second half. Korean golf is best in May and September.
