Tee Time: 3:45pm
Players: YS, Jy, Phillip
We barely got a tee time! There was a tournament going on but it seemed like it was finishing up. So we got there and the starter told us that we wouldn’t be able to play. We asked if we could just tee off from hole 10 since it looked empty but he said no because other groups were all in play. Nobody went to hole 10 in the 20 min or so that we were waiting…but eventually after some conversation and a little bit of begging and pleading, he let us on at around 3:45pm.
It was pretty crowded for the first 9 holes so we were constantly waiting for the group in front of us and the group behind us were waiting for us, etc. But after the first 9 holes, it was pretty fast and smooth sailing. It almost seemed like we had the back half of the course mostly to ourselves!
Holes 8 and 9 are still under repair so they are both par 3s. A few other holes were under repair as well Hopefully they get these holes done soon!
It’s not a difficult course but there are some water hazards here and there (hence the name “The Lakes”) and a few areas where you can lose your ball if you hit an errant shot, etc.
There is a 1200 year old ginko bilba tree on hole 4.
Please note that Osan requires base access so you will need someone to escort you on base. As usual, we had our post-round meal at Chili’s and then headed over to the shopette to get some snacks!
