6/4/2022 – Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA)

Tee Time: 9:08am

Players: Ben, Dan, Jy

We played the north course again. I have not played south yet but I’m happy with north and this was great. Ben and Dan are both San Diego residents so they get a great rate and are able to book tee times well in advance. They both said how they used to play Torrey Pines every week but that was pre-covid when golf wasn’t as popular as it is today.

I like Torrey because I don’t lose many balls here. Last year I lost 1 ball and this time I lost 1 ball. For me, that’s awesome!

My only complaint would be that pace of play was very slow. We were waiting at pretty much every single hole and with a 9:08am tee time we finished up at around 2:30pm so it was an almost 5 and a half hour round! This was especially bad because the kids and MIL were staying at a hotel where I was barely able to get a 3pm check out. In the end, we left hole 18 without putting just to get out of there on time.

Torrey is still the best muni in America!
