I played golf at Fairways and Bluewater 3 times during my weeklong vacation to Boracay. Fairways and Bluewater is the largest resort in Boracay and it’s huge. It’s so big that you can’t even walk the premises and you need to wait to take a shuttle to take you around.
The golf course is located near the entrance of the resort. You can book a tee time but if you are a guest at the resort, you will get a 20% discount.
The course is not cheap…green fees were around $100 per player but with the discount it was around $80. Caddie fee was very cheap at around $8 per caddie. Each player must have 1 caddie. The cart fee was around $25 and seats 2 people. We tipped the caddie $10 each.
The course is 18 holes and the front 9 is well maintained. The front 9 is located in the middle part of the resort. There is a good mix of water, slight undulation, trees, and rough. It’s a fun course.
The back 9 is further away and is more remote but also very fun. It was open so we played but appeared to be less kept up than the front 9. This just means that some of the greens were a little more punched up, etc.
If you are in Boracay and want to play golf, this is pretty much your only option. Most of the golfers are Korean so the caddies speak a little bit of Korean as well.
