This is a pretty new golf resort that just opened in March 2023 so it’s only about a month old. It looks like there is another Hill Maru golf course in another area of Korea so maybe they are owned by the same company. The clubhouse is very modern and nice. In fact, much of the layout reminds me of Sagewood in that there are high ceilings, lots of windows, great views, etc. There is a nice elevator to take you downstairs. The restaurant is located on the main floor and the pro shop looks nice. Everything is nice and upscale here. The carts are also nice and new with big windows.
There are 45 holes spread across 5 courses. We played the sunshine and nest courses.
Our caddie was pretty new so she was quiet but friendly.
I played well overall. The fairways were somewhat narrow but I don’t think I hit any drives OB (maybe I hit one). Of course when my driver is going well, I end up with other problems so my hybrid and irons weren’t so good. I’m not sure what was going on there. My short game was pretty good though. There are some bunkers but for whatever reason I didn’t go into a single bunker all day. As a result, my score wasn’t so good but oh well.
The grass is Korean grass on the fairways and western grass on the tees and putting greens. There are some trees but since they were recently planted they aren’t very big yet.
At the turn, we had dduk-bok-ki and it was pretty good.
We had beef at a place nearby called Hyundo Korean BBQ and it was pretty good!
