8/5/2023 – Alpensia 700

Tee Time: 8:06am

Players: Steven, Roy, Kyle

I had a wrist injury that kept me sidelined for the past 2 weeks. I tore my TFCC (some ligaments). I was in a cast for a week and then a wrist brace all week. I slowly started to practice golf on Wednesday and it was terrible…sharp pain with every hit even though I was barely hitting the ball. Luckily I took it easy and by Friday I felt that I was back to about 90% so great!

This was my first time playing this course and it was great. I actually had a reservation here last year in the fall but it was cold and rainy so I canceled it.

The course is nice with good fairways and tee boxes. Greens were good but slow.

Alpensia is nice in the summer because it’s a good 10 degrees (fahrenheit) cooler than the rest of Korea. It was nice and breezy.

This was part of a weekend trip so we stayed overnight in Pyongchang. It’s a good 2+ hour drive from Seoul so a little far for a simple day trip.
