I haven’t played Hansung in a long time. I don’t think I’ve played this year. I used to play here quite often. There used to be a woman in the reservation center who would take our calls even though we aren’t members of the club. But she would book tee times for us as long as we understand that we need to spend a lot of money at the club (eat before our round, order lots of food and drinks at the turn, eat after our round, buy fruit boxes, etc.). We used to even send her gifts as well (like a fruit box, etc.).
However, I think the club eventually caught wind of this. She was probably the #1 reservation agent there in terms of revenue her clients bring in.
But apparently she left or got fired, etc. so it’s not easy to get tee times anymore. It’s a nice golf course and close to Seoul so it’s very popular with my co-workers. In fact, my boss was there (2 tee times behind us)!
I played extremely well. My driver was spot on. My putter was great. My playing partners were impressed. With some typical liberal scoring by the caddie (but not too crazy), I scored an 87! It was probably a real 90 though which is still really good…especially considering that my front 9 wasn’t that great.
