10/5/2023 – Phuket Country Club (Old Course)

Tee Time: 9:56am

Players: Jy

Phuket Country Club is one of the oldest country clubs in Phuket. The old course is the old classic course and was a great course to play. Upkeep is great and the holes are very nice and pretty.

It rained pretty hard so we took a short break. I was informed at the start that the weather might rain a bit here and there and there were no refunds or rain checks so play at our own risk. We decided to risk it and play anyway.

The rain break was for about 20 minutes but other than that it wasn’t too bad. The ground was pretty wet though but still lots of fun.

Hole 10 was a lot of fun. You hit over water to the fairway, etc.

Cost was 2800 baht (~$80) per person and included green fees, cart, and caddie (but not tip).

Caddies were nice and although the recommended tip was 400 baht, I ended up tipping them 500 baht each and they seemed happy. They were so happy that they asked that I take off my shoes and they took them out back and aired them out and cleaned them for me…nice service!
