Red Mountain is generally considered the nicest golf course in Phuket. It’s a great course with a lot of water and nice hazards.
The clubhouse is about 5+ minutes from the main gate so it was a bit of a drive. There is some construction going on as well.
The course was more crowded than the other courses we played so we ended up starting at hole 12 and then finishing at hole 11.
This is also the most expensive course on the island (I think) at around 6000 baht but we got some kind of discount and paid 4300 baht (~$120) per person. As usual, the caddie tip is not included and we paid 500 baht per caddie and they seemed happy.
The weather was fine but from what I read online, they are pretty good about giving rain checks if you leave due to rain. The only catches are that you must use the rain check within a month and the rain checks are not transferrable so you have to use them. So for us, it wouldn’t really be worthwhile since we were flying back the next day anyway and don’t plan to be in Phuket again anytime soon.
