2/18/2024 – Lakeside (East)

Tee Time: 8:13am

Players: Dave, Sangwon, Doyoung

This was my second round of the year after starting yesterday with my first round.

I was on fire during the first half shooting par or bogey most holes. I think I had 1 double bogey but either way ended at +8 over the first 9.

But after some makgulli drinks over the turn, the second half was pretty bad. Driver was slicing a lot going OB. putter wasn’t working. On a couple of holes I hit OB or water off the fairway rough so more penalities. I think there was a stretch where I was triple bogey like 3 or 4 holes in a row….bad. Ended up +16 on the back 9.

Not a great round overall but enjoyed it. Lakeside is a nice course and not too difficult and close to Seoul so that’s great. It’s large with 54 holes so the parking lot, clubhouse, etc. are pretty busy.

Grass is still yellow and the weather was cold all day. Still need about a month or so for the grass to turn green and get some decent golf in Korea.
