Today is election day in Korea which means it’s a public holiday! So if you are eligible to vote in Korea, go ahead and do your civic duty and then go have fun! It was a fun round overall. My driver was pretty good the first half. I’ve been testing out a new driver swing that my golf coach had me doing. She basically wants me to start my backswing early while my back is still facing the target for as long as possible. This helps enforce more of an in-to-out swing and hopefully will prevent my slice coming from an out-to-in swing.
I have actually been more focused these days on impact position on the driver and just trying my best to hit it at the center or slightly right of center (toe) rather than at the heel (which is my tendency).
Anyway, my driver kind of went crappy early in the second half so I figure whatever…let’s try the new swing and it actually worked! A few holes were pretty good with driver but I didn’t do so well the last couple of holes.
The good news is that although the ball wasn’t necessarily hit that well all of the time off the tee, I didn’t lose many balls so that was nice.
The grass is still yellow but there are some peeks of green grass under the yellow so I guess that was kind of nice to see.
Birch is a fun course with 3 par 3s, 3 par 4s, and 3 par 5s. I tend to like this setup more than when there are 2 par 3s, 5 par 4s, and 1 par 5 or other setups.
