An early morning tee time. At this time of year, the first tee time is at 6:30am and with tee times 7 minutes apart, we were the 4th tee time of the day.
This past Sunday at la vie est belle, I had 2 of the worst drives in recent years on the first 2 holes. I’m not sure what happened but with some recent swing changes I think I really screwed up over there and I told my team that it might take me 2 holes again to settle down.
Well…I tee’d off first and my drive was striped straight down the middle of the fairway. Hole 1 is a par 5 and my second shot with my Callaway super 4 hybrid was also striped right down the middle. The other players were highly impressed. My 3rd was a simple chip shot onto the green after which I 2 putted for and easy peasy par.
Second hole is a par 3 and I tee’d off first again. Again, striped right down the middle onto the green after which an easy 2 putt for par again.
I was on a roll and my playing partners were highly impressed.
Of course after that it unraveled and I went back to my normal self.
I gamed the Callaway super hybrid for the first time. I brought my old and trusty PXG 4 hybrid as well just in case but the super hybrid was good all day so when I got home I promptly removed the PXG out of the bag.
