Fun round with some cool guys that I met at the course! Both guys were a lot of fun and the round was decent. I started out by trying my new swing that my golf coach has been trying to get me to do which is much more of a “push” swing. I push my arms forward and away and to the sky and slightly right from my body on the backswing and then lower my arms and bring my arms back to my body on the downswing and then push my arms forward and away from my body towards the sky left to the follow through. It’s similar in many ways to the “arm swing illusion” by “jim waldron” that you can look up online. I was ok with it all week but it wasn’t really working for me in the front 9. I actually think that this swing works if you shallow your club on the downswing (so at transition from the top of the backswing to the start of your downswing) and you also need to be sure not to rotate too quickly on the downswing and I don’t really have that part nailed yet.
So in the back 9, I went back to my old swing which I call my “long beach” swing because it’s what I came up with this past summer in long beach at the range. I have made some adjustments to this swing but mostly focus on lower the club on the downswing so that I don’t come over the top. It worked well and I had a pretty good back 9.
Creek course is a lot of fun but it’s a good 10 min cart ride from the main clubhouse so you need to get down to your cart a good 25 minutes before your tee time.
The caddie was nice as well. She was a younger caddie with a bit of plastic surgery, etc. which is not that common for caddies out in pocheon, etc.
