BA Vista is a pretty big 54 hole course. There is a public section as well as private area. The public section is not very good and is considered to be one of the less desirable golf courses in Korea. The private section is pretty nice though.
BA Vista is also known for changing their holes very often. This was clearly evident in my mobile watch app since the data was pretty much incorrect for most holes.
We played Bella and Lago and the holes were pretty short overall. I am definitely not a long hitter and most of the time I was hitting mid-short irons for my second shot. Usually I hit hybrid or long iron for my second shot.
Building on yesterday’s success I went back to my “long beach” swing but added one thing recently which is to try to keep my left foot planted. I realized that I raise my left foot a lot on the downswing which causes me to early extend which causes my impact of driver to be more on the heel rather than center or toe. Heel strikes cause more slices and if I’m lucky…fades.
The front 9 I was fading a lot but once I dialed this in with the left foot, I was hitting much more center and really nailed a few drives in the second half. It was great!
Overall, I probably ended up playing my best round ever! My lifetime best! Score was 88 but probably was more like a realistic 92 which is good for me. My only slight disappointment was that I didn’t get any birdies and only scored par on a few holes but I was hitting mostly bogey which is ok for me.
It’s been a 4 years since I started playing golf and 3 years since I’ve been playing regularly so it’s about him I had a good round that made me happy.
