This was another fun no-caddie round at Sagewood. Sagewood is not an easy course so it can be a little intimidating with tight fairways, small greens, etc. With no caddie, you can take mulligans though and get some decent practice in at the course which is always nice. The rough is usually pretty deep though so you can lose a lot of balls here.
With local Koreans, they are usually not used to playing without a caddie so it takes them a few holes to get used to watching your own ball, taking a few clubs out with you when you go out to the fairway, etc. It is cart path only but you do get a remote so that you can move your cart from the fairways, etc.
I didn’t play very well…driver was going a bit all over the place left, right, etc. I was mostly in play which was nice but wasn’t the solid contact that I wanted.
However, I did get a chip in birdie on a par 3! I was slightly off the green and it was a downhill lie. I chipped it short and it rolled down onto the green and into the hole! I also got a birdie yesterday so this was my 2nd birdie in 2 days!
The second picture below is my chip in birdie location.
