Wow, this was one of the best 9 holes of golf that I have every played! I was really on fire. My driver wasn’t always great but it was staying in bounds and mostly in the fairway. I was fading most of my drives but it was consistent and good overall. I hit a few really good straight drives as well. But everything else was just hitting well…hybrid, irons, approach, etc. Even my putting was pretty good although I was missing a lot of putts by just an inch, etc…so it was a lot of near misses. But good conversions for par saves or bogey, etc. I ended up shooting a 43 in the first half!
I’ve been practicing a new swing which extends my arms a lot more so I have much less bend in my elbows than before. It feels a bit awkward but it helps consistency and helps maintain my triangle a lot more. It also helps shorten by backswing which is what I have also been trying to do because I tend to overswing a bit.
At the turn we had the lasagna which is a new item on their menu. It was pretty good but tiny portions…
Back 9 was not as good and I went back to my normal inconsistent self…oh well, that’s just golf. I did end up shooting an 88 but it was a lot of liberal scoring from the caddie in the second half with a few mulligans, etc.
