Tee Time: 8:18
Players: David, Tae, Robert
It was nice playing another round with these guys. The course is pretty difficult though and it showed. I played ok at the start with my driver working well but then it started to really hit poorly (slice right, hook left, etc.) which was pretty discouraging for awhile but at the last few holes I got my driver back and was good again.
Since this was a morning tee time it was really cold at the start. You could see your breath (one criteria I use for gauging how cold it is). There was a lot of frost on the ground. In the US they probably would have had a frost delay but they didn’t do that here and we just played. The first half was really cold but at the second half after around 10:30am or so it really warmed up so it was nice.
I seem to say this every week but this is likely the last nice weekend we’ll have for the season.
We played a game for the 2nd half where we each paid 50k to the pot. Top scorer for each hole got 20k. We also played gangster right away (not just the last 3 holes) so money was being exchanged pretty often.
In the end, David won so he covered the caddie fee. Robert covered lunch.
Although my play was a bit mediocre today I almost got my first eagle! I hit a really nice drive straight up the middle on a par 4 and I only had around 85 meter left to the pin. I hit my gap wedge and it went right up on the green and rolled straight for the hole! I stopped just an inch or so before the hole! I really thought that was going in! Oh well, had to settle for birdie.
