Tee Time: 11:33
Players: Steven, Changwon, Jin
Winter golf is definitely upon us! Seoul had its first snow of the season earlier in the week so golf courses were closing down all over the country. We weren’t sure if we would be able to play on Saturday since golf courses were saying that they would likely not be open due to snow.
We started with an 8:53 tee time at New Seoul but that got cancelled on Thursday (2 days before our round). So we were able to book a 7:52am tee time at Korea CC. But on Friday, Korea CC called and said that they were going to close on Saturday. We were debating whether we should just play screen golf or look for more options and we were able to get a 11:33am tee time at Lee & Lee.
We played Lake and Highland which imo are the 2 better courses here. 2 years ago I played sky course and didn’t like it that much. Sky seemed more narrow and difficult but 2 years ago I was a much worse golfer than I am today so that might have been part of it too.
I got a picture from Steven who arrived a little bit earlier than I did and the pictures was a little scary because the fairway was full of snow? I knew to bring colored golf balls so I had a decent number of matte red titleist truefeel balls.
It was a little chilly but not too bad out there. I played well overall. I slowed down by backswing a little bit which seemed to help my impact a lot in hitting the sweet spot on my driver. I didn’t hit a single slice and my drives stayed in play so it was a good day overall.
It warmed up in the afternoon and the round was good.
