Ansung Benest was closed for most of the past couple of weeks due to heavy snow. There is still a lot of snow on the fairways, etc. and the course was able to clear out a lot of the snow at only West and South so North and East were closed. The caddie told us that they are expecting North and East to open up again later this week.
So this was an odd combination of courses since West is usually paired with North and South is usually paired with East. But it was a fun day overall playing through the cold and snow. Some areas were icy as well so you needed to be careful.
Bunkers are hard, greens were hard, etc. Most of the tee boxes had us teeing off mats. So overall, not the best of conditions but I suppose playable and expected for December golf.
My driver was good overall and I didn’t lose any balls off the tee so that was great.
This may be my last round here as a member as I have requested the company to change (upgrade?) my membership to another country club for next year. It has been 4 years of playing here and it’s been fun but I’m ready for a change! However, if I can’t get switched to another country club, I’ll be back here again next year.
