Fun day out on the course with 2 beginners! It was only JP’s second time out on the course and he played pretty well for someone who is just starting out. JH had some trouble with driver so he switched over to hybrid and iron but still had some issues off the tee but that’s ok…hopefully it gets better over time!
This was my first time playing at Lakewood and it was very nice. The course is nice, the clubhouse is very upscale, and the pro shop has some good merchandise. There is a nice display of really nice Scotty Cameron putters as well which was fun to see.
The course conditions were nice with no snow on the ground since I guess it had all melted. We used colored balls anyway.
My driver has been much better and I have more or less eliminated that terrible banana slice so the ball mostly stays in play so that’s great. As a result I only lost 2 balls all day. Maybe the days where I’m carrying 20-30 balls in my pouch + golf bag is no longer necessary but we’ll see.
Afterwards we had knife cut noodles at a nearby famous restaurant which was really good. It also had some shabu shabu so that was nice.
