The Crosby is a nice golf course located about 45 minutes away from Seoul in the small city of Icheon. Icheon is famous for their rice so there are many rice paddies in the area.
Like many Korean golf courses, The Crosby consists of 3 x 9 hole courses called Aria, Billy, and Charlotte.
In the evenings after 5pm, The Crosby has a nice promotion where you can play one of the courses (9 holes) with no caddie as a 2 person team. Of course you can also play 3 or 4 person teams as well but it’s convenient as a couple to simply play as a 2 person team.
The price is a relatively affordable 250k including cart (100k per person green fee + 50k total for a single cart for both players).
There are some general guidelines and rules but they seem to be pretty lax about taking mulligans and such as long as you aren’t holding up anyone so it’s nice. Of course they ban things such as playing 2 balls actively, etc.
It’s great to practice some things on an actual course. I have been working on some swing changes so it was nice having the opportunity to tinker around a bit with some old junk golf balls, etc.
We arrived a bit early at around 4:45pm for our 5:48 tee time and they let us on the course at around 5pm. We finished up at around 7pm. The lights turned on for hole 9 so it was a nice round overall but we likely would have played around 4 holes in the lights had we started at our tee time.
