Tee Time: 6:50am
Players: John, Hyesu, Jy
Fun to play with John and Hyesu during their twice annual visits to Korea! Looks like we have an annual tradition of playing once in the US at Trump National and twice in Korea.
I played ok and my irons are still pretty good. I only lost 2 balls so that was a good day. None of my losses were from driver. I hit 1 ball into the water on the par 3 and I hooked 1 ball out to the woods towards the end of the day (hole 16 or so?). I found 1 ball though so I guess I was only down 1 ball. Both balls lost were really old though and balls that had lasted a few rounds so they were really scuffed up and ready to be lost.
We had an early tee time but the caddie took us out early. We played quickly and the group in front of us was fast so we never saw the group behind us and rarely caught up to the group in front of us. So we finished the front 9 in under 2 hours but that just meant that we had a long 40 minute wait at the turn.
Since we had such a long wait, we got food and shared a jja jang myun and KFC (korean friend chicken).
After the round, we didn’t get food since we were still full from the turn. Kangnam 300 isn’t really my favorite course but it wasn’t too bad this time around so maybe I’ll be ok coming here more often in the future. I think I like it more than 88cc and some others.
